Kaelem, Rhymes with Salem
A word about my marvelous son. I do not want to give the impression, with the focus of this blog being about his sister, that he is insignificant or unnoteworthy. I have never known a kinder, more articulate, intelligent young man. Kaelem is just a very private person and does not care for me to center him in my blog and spew his life to the world. Abby, being the center of everything, embraces it.

"Kaelem wouldn't complain if he was on fire"
Kaelem has watched, with empathy and silent trepidation, all of what we have been through with Abby. I cannot imagine how it has affected him to have to watch his sister during one of her episodes that can seem utterly otherworldly, of which not even her sweet brother's embrace could pull her out. And though, Kaelem wouldn't complain if he was on fire, I know there must be fallout from that.
That is to say that Kaelem understands the premise for this blog. It is not to say he doesn't have his own story, as he is rather extraordinary and a fiercely talented musician. It is his music that seems to be his only deliverance from the grip life has on a boy during such a tumultuous time as being a teenager. I can't wait to see the man that emerges from it's depths on the other side. Godspeed my love, you're almost there.
